Reminiscing about my own excitement and anticipation on Christmas Eves as a child many (many) years ago, just reinforces my belief that children need a little magic in their lives. I still distinctly remember hearing Santa on our roof as a small child. I’m not sure if it was my imagination or if my parents were making noises to enhance our anticipation. Either way, I remember it as though it were yesterday. And, though we didn’t have tons of gifts under our tree, I was amazed that Santa stopped at our house when I was certain at least two of us were perpetually on the naughty list.

On a recent visit to Koziar’s Christmas Village in Bernville, PA, I was just as enthralled by the looks on the faces of the children, as I was by the incredible displays that inspired those looks of wonderment. While Pennsylvania’s holiday light displays serve to enhance the holidays for children, they offer a much-needed infusion of Christmas spirit for adults. The madness of holiday shopping can just suck the merry right out of Christmas! Here are a few of my favorite holiday light displays.
