Each seasonal issue brings you hundreds of events, attractions and destinations to discover throughout Pennsylvania. We focus on all the things that make Pennsylvania great - history, outdoor recreation, world class museums, entertainment, family-friendly destinations and our quaint towns and large cities. Wendy has been the editor of Where & When Pennsylvania since the publication was acquired by State College-based Barash Group in 2002. A native of Lancaster County, Wendy's Pennsylvania German roots run deep. Until her mother attended school she spoke only Pennsylvania Dutch. It was her teacher who taught her and other students, in the one-room schoolhouse, to speak English. Wendy's rich heritage helped develop her love of history. In addition to her editorial duties, Wendy enjoys the design-work that she does for Where & When, saying that it's a nice change of pace. The aspects of her job she finds to be the most rewarding include her relationships she's developed with other PA travel professionals and meeting and introducing people to all the amazing things there are to do in the Commonwealth. "My job is anything but boring, it's constantly changing. And, that's what I love about it." The PA Family Travel Fair is the newest addition to her varied list of duties and one she considers a labor of love. Anyone who has ever spoken to Wendy for any length of time knows how she feels about Pennsylvania and what it has to offer visitors and residents. In addition to all things PA, Wendy enjoys gardening at her Lititz home and spending time with her family, especially her 4 grandchildren.
Before joining the team, Jennifer was an advertising consultant for Where & When's sister publication, Lancaster County Magazine. Prior to that, Jen was a sales consultant for Engle Printing & Publishing Co. Inc’s Community Newspapers for more than 12 years. “I have always been in the “sales” industry but found my heart leads to print. With my past experience, I have been able to meet so many business owners and local retailers and appreciate their hard work,” she says. Now I enjoy exploring PA with all it has to offer. Jennifer was raised in Dauphin County, but she eventually made Mount Joy her home where she currently lives and raises her two beautiful little girls. When she is not working and chasing her kids, she enjoys working in the yard, running or going for a drive in her Mustang convertible.
