PA State Championship Fishing Tournament

 Tidioute, the “Sportsman’s Paradise,” invites everyone to enjoy and participate in the annual PA State Championship Fishing Tournament and all the festivities and entertainment surrounding the tournament.  A fun-packed weekend is planned, with a program of activities for all ages, including a junior tournament for the kids. The events begin on Thursday with rides and concessions.  A parade through town follows on Saturday starting at 1:00pm.  Junior Angler’s are crowned at 9:00pm Saturday evening.  In addition, door prizes for the public are also drawn on Saturday evening at 8pm. The concluding ceremony takes place on Sunday at 3pm, where trophies and cash prizes are awarded, as well as the crowning of the new fishing champion. These activities are sponsored by the Tournament Committee and local organizations. There will be refreshment booths open during the tournament weekend; sidewalk sales, and displays will add to the gala atmosphere. Visitors are also invited to attend Sunday worship services in the following Tidioute churches, including: United Presbyterian, Tidioute Baptist, and Allegheny Bible Church.
