American Music Theatre’s Winter Wonderland

Wendy Royal Winter 2017

When I stepped outside the American Music Theatre around 10:00 last night, I turned to my husband and said that the only thing that would make the evening better was if it had snowed while we were inside seeing the show. But, alas, even though they were covered in blue Christmas lights, the leaves on the maple trees were still orange and yellow. You might ask why, in early November, I would be longing for winter weather.

To answer that question, let me first take you to a place that at times felt like an Alpine village, a mountain lodge, and at times a quaint small town in Anywhere, USA. All of these locations were on stage at American Music Theatre’s new Christmas Show: Winter Wonderland. Of the 300 live shows presented at AMT each year, this is perhaps the most anticipated. Winter Wonderland, an AMT Original did not disappoint. The elaborate sets and sensational costumes enhance the incredible talent on stage.

Artistic director, Andrea McCormick assembled an outstanding cast and orchestra to bring this nostalgic and festive show to life. Familiar and fresh faces blend to make this a joyous celebration of the holiday season. Spiritual, classic and contemporary Christmas favorites had the audience singing along from start to finish.

If you’re feeling a little Grinchy this year, Winter Wonderland is just what you need. There are plenty of tickets available, but don’t miss out by waiting too long to purchase. The show runs through December 30th.

Ticket Prices:

Adults – $42
Children – $21
AMT Members – $32
