10AM – 4PM. On September 11, 1777, the peaceful tranquility of the Chester County countryside was shattered by the sounds of heavy musket and cannon fire at Sandy Hollow Park (now located at South New St and Birmingham Roads in Birmingham Township). With an estimated 26,000 soldiers fighting that day, this was the largest land engagement of the Revolution.
