A Colorist's Approach To Watercolor Painting

Betsy Bangley will be the guest artist for the November session of Beaver Valley Artists. Betsy studied drawing at the University of Toledo in Ohio.  She is an Artist’s model, and teaches drawing, figure drawing and nature journaling  at the Beaver County Community College and classes at Osher at Carnegie Mellon University. She also has a blog called Betsy’s Bliss. Join Betsy Bangley as she demonstrates how color choices can make your watercolor compositions bolder and more expressive.  First, she will demonstrate techniques for mixing a realistic color palette.  Then she will explore playing with color complements and analogous colors to create vivid contrasts, bold moods and harmony through the development of an expanded color palette.
