Clearfield County –  During the months of late – August through early – November many tourists herd to Clearfield County to watch the majestic elk bugle and spar with each other during the rut season. The rut season is when the bull elk bugle to attract the females (cows) for mating. As a bull elk mature, they will be challenged by other bull elks for the right to mate with the females. Clearfield County offers many elk viewing areas that you will want to visit and take in the beauty of nature at its finest.
