The University Museum at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) invites the public to step behind the scenes and explore the hidden craftsmanship of stagecraft in its upcoming exhibition, “The Art of Theatre.” Running from March 21 through May 2, 2026, this immersive showcase reveals the technical show behind the show that transforms creative vision into theatrical reality.

“The Art of Theatre” offers a rare look at the intricate processes required to bring a production to life. Visitors will discover the journey from initial set renderings to costume design and prop building, highlighting the artistry and engineering that define the world of professional theatre.

Museum Hours:

● Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM

● Thursday: 12:00 PM – 7:30 PM

● Saturday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

● Closed Sunday, Monday, and university holidays
