Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens presents Family-Friendly Ceramic Tile Workshop

Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens invites visitors to attend the Family-Friendly Ceramic Tile Workshop. Participants will choose and decorate two ceramic forms (from a variety of tiles and ornaments) and glaze a doily tile inspired by Isaiah. PMG will fire these unique pieces in the kiln, turning them into enduring keepsakes or ornaments.
The mosaics at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens contain many special ceramics, and PMG creator Isaiah Zagar makes ceramic “doily tiles” by pressing lace into clay, which he colors with glaze. He also adds his own images, designs, and words on donated tiles.
Please be aware that the working space can only be accessed by stairs. Tickets also include general admission to PMG. This workshop is open to participants ages 5+, but all participants under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult participant.
