Memorial Day Fly-In Breakfast

The Canyon Pilots Association’s all-you-can-eat breakfast will be held indoors, and the event is open to the public and will be held rain or shine. On the menu are ham, eggs, buckwheat pancakes, coffee and orange juice. There is a requested is a donation for adults and children age 9 and up. Youngsters ages 3 to 8 years old will receive a discount on the requested donation. Breakfast is free for children age 2 and under. Weather permitting, pilots in full-size aircraft will fly to the airport for the breakfast. The public is welcome to watch the pilots land and take off and talk to them. Airplane and helicopter rides will be available for a fee, weather permitting. Members of the Canyon Country Ultralight Club will have a display of ultralight aircraft. The Mountain Modelaires will display radio controlled airplanes and have a flight simulator program for children and adults to try. The event will be held at the commercial corporate hangar at the airport, which is just west of Wellsboro on Airport Road in Delmar Township. Handicapped parking will be along Airport Road near the hangar. Others can park along the roadway and in the parking area near the main gate.
