Jane Austen Afternoon

Spend an afternoon learning about Jane Austen’s era – the late 18th and very early 19th centuries. The event will include a presentation by the Binghamton English Country Dancers with opportunities to join in, a short talk on the importance and place of dance in Austen’s time, tours of the LaPorte House and a traditional three-course English afternoon tea, entirely consisting of homemade refreshments. All monies will go to French Azilum for its maintenance and upkeep.
