Join family, friends, and neighbors at the 5th annual Independence Weekend Family Celebration at Dauphin County Heroes Grove. Honor Veterans and Emergency responders at the 10am Ceremony, then checkout the Food Trucks, free family carnival games and Kids activities. Meet Veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Cold War, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Salute to the Flag Celebration (10-10:30am)
– Live Music and Entertainment including Imaginary Friends Puppets
– Salute to the Flag Ceremony with Veterans, Emergency Responders, Scouts
– Reading the Declaration of Independence
– Polly Murphy Spirit of Volunteerism Award Recipients

A Community Family Festival (1:30am-2pm)
Kids Zone – Children’s crafts & game area
Imaginary Friends Puppets, Kids Songs
Free Midway Family Carnival Games and Prizes

Heroes Grove is an amphitheater located in Lower Paxton Township, near the Friendship YMCA.

The Lower Paxton Community Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization and also hosts the Christkindlmarkt in Linglestown each December.
