Music at the Spring presents Filament. Filament is a Philadelphia based Baroque chamber ensemble. Their mission is to be the bright connective thread — that eponymous filament — linking the world of our audience with that of our repertoire, illuminating the delightful, sometimes uncanny familiarity of the emotions and images it evokes. They will be performing a concert entitled Bach Reimagined, which features music originally composed by J.S. Bach for keyboard, but rearranged for the inventive combination of violin, treble viol, and harpsichord.
