Battle of Mogadishu Anniversary Run: 5K, 5K Ruck

9am (registration starts at 7am). A 5K road run that starts and finishes at the VFW. The run commemorates the 30^th anniversary of the Battle of Mogadishu (Somalia) fought October 3-4, 1993 between forces of the United States and the Somali National Alliance, during which 18 American soldiers were killed and another 73 wounded. The race commemorates the sacrifice, dedication and fortitude of the service members who bravely found and died so others, in a foreign country, could live. Organized by VFW Post 1630.
