POTTSTOWN, PA – Pottsgrove Manor’s most anticipated event of the year is back! Join us on Saturday, May 3rd from 11am to 5pm for our largest living history program of the season, Annual Colonial Mayfair. Watch as the grounds come alive with a variety of living history interpreters, demonstrating traditional crafts, cooking, and skills from the colonial era. Guests are invited to interact with staff and volunteers to learn about life in the 18th century and explore Pottsgrove Manor, a preserved historical home once belonging to the prominent Potts family. From education, entertainment, interactive performances, food, handcrafted goods for purchase, and much more…Mayfair has it all!
Highlights of the event include:
• Performances by Tucker’s Tales: Enjoy a humorous and historic puppet show performed by Tucker’s Tales.
• Levram the Great: Witness the awe-inspiring magic and thrilling feats of Levram the Great, in an entertaining and interactive performance that will captivate audiences of all ages.
• Food Vendors: Refuel with delicious treats from local vendors offering a selection of tasty snacks, perfect for every palate.
• Family-Friendly Activities: From toys and games, hobby horse races, colonial clothing try on, and more, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy at this fun-filled event.
• Benjamin Franklin’s Science Experiments: History and science go hand in hand! Watch as Michael Kochan demonstrates exciting colonial science experiments and explores the various inventions of Benjamin Franklin.
• Dance Performances by Heritage Dancers: Cut a colonial rug with demonstrations and interactive dance numbers from the Heritage Dancers.
Admission is FREE, with a suggested donation of $4 per guest. Free parking is available at Memorial Park, 75 W. King street, with continual shuttle service to and from the event.
