“Alliance” – The film is the inspiring story of 43 immigrant families who built a thriving community in South Jersey. From the clutches of a tyrannical Czar in 1882 to the sandy soils of southern New Jersey, Russian Jewish families escaped persecution to partake in a first-time social experiment – to form a cooperative agricultural-base community, the first successful Jewish farming community in the United States.
Light Bites, refreshments and Panel Discussion: Stay after the film for a conversation with the Director and Producer, Susan Kehnemui Donnelly and guests.
Presented by the Meyers Library at KI, WKI & Adult Education. Sponsored by: the Zlotnick and Abt Families.
