The Tunkhannock Business and Professional Association presents Founder’s Day, an annual festival featuring family-friendly events and activities throughout downtown Tunkhannock. Tioga Street, Warren Street, and surrounding areas will be full of artisans, crafters, vendors, food trucks, live music, and entertainment. A schedule of events will be posted soon. Iron Horse Ramble: Train Ride to Tunkhannock Founder’s Day – The Reading & Northern Railroad is offering a train excursion from their Nesquehoning Campus to downtown Tunkhannock for Founder’s Day. Passengers will ride the mighty T-1 steam locomotive #2102 and arrive in Tunkhannock around lunchtime. They will have time to explore the town and festival before returning to Nesquehoning in the evening.
