Bathtime Chemistry With Pompeii Soaps

Learn about chemical reactions between acids and bases and the chemistry of botanical ingredients used in natural body care products. Jessica Grill from Pompeii Street Soap Co. will explain why baking soda and citric acid fizz when wet and go into detail about our sense of smell and the molecules that are responsible for those aromas. Children will leave with their own aromatic bath fizzie. Recommend for children 6 and up. Registration for this program is on a first come, first serve basis, day of the event. Two session times available: 10:30 am-11:15 am and 11:30 am-12:15 pm. Program is free with general admission or museum membership. Masks required.
