**Following new health precautions, Historic Sugartown has safely resumed its Book Bindery workshops in a limited capacity.**

Learn specialized book sewing techniques at Historic Sugartown. Participants will hand-sew book sections, or signatures, as sections of pages are referred to in the bookbinding trade. Colonial Williamsburg-trained instructor, Ramon Townsend, of ColonialBindery.com, will teach two sewing techniques not taught in the Bookbinding Level I workshop, the French Link Stitch, the Double Needle Coptic Stitch, and the Herringbone Stitch. This three-hour class will take place in Historic Sugartown’s Book Bindery which houses a world-class collection of 19th-century bookbinding tools. Participants will also be provided step-by-step written instructions they can take home.

Workshop Admission: $60/ Participant, all supplies included. Ages 18 & Up.

The workshop will take place from 9AM – 1PM. Pre-registration is required and space is limited to 4 participants. Visit HistoricSugartown.org or call 610-640-2667 to register!
