Join the Museum for Art in Wood for a special evening celebrating the release of the first-ever comprehensive catalogue of the work of Tommy Simpson with author Oscar P. Fitzgerald. During the event, Fitzgerald will present his experience with artist Tommy Simpson while preparing the publication. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event, along with plenty of opportunities for conversation.

Dr. Fitzgerald has lectured worldwide, including presentations to appraisers, collectors, and museums, and has even sailed across the Atlantic Ocean on the Queen Elizabeth II. He served as an Adjunct Professor of American furniture at the Smithsonian Institution/George Washington University Master’s Program in the History of Decorative Arts and Design and has published several books. His latest book, “The Art and Furniture of Tommy Simpson,” was published by Bloomsbury in January.
