Twelfth Annual Elk Antler Shed Hunt

A registration fee of $10 must be paid at the time of registration. Registrations will not be taken after February 14, 2026. The hunt will end at 11 am on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Payment can be made either by check or Paypal. If you choose to use Paypal the fee is $11 to cover the cost that Paypal charges us. If you register online but choose to send us a check, please make the check out for $10 per applicant.

The area for the hunt will be in the Pennsylvania Elk Management area. Check the Pennsylvania Game Commission Hunting and Trapping Digest. Sheds must come from the wild elk herd, not a game farm or reserve.

Registrations will be accepted by mail until February 14, 2026. This year members of the QIDC will be set up at the Elk’s Visitors Center in Benezette on Jan 10 and 24 plus Feb 14 from noon to 3 pm, weather permitting.

Feeding and baiting the wild elk in Pa is prohibited by law. Do not feed or bait the elk to try and keep them in the area that you are watching. If caught, you will be cited by the Pa Game Commission and you will be disqualified from the hunt. The Pa Game Commission has officers on duty at all times.

Official check in time for found sheds will start at 11 am and end at 1 pm on May 23, 2026 at the Pottersdale Community Park, near Pottersdale, Pa. The participant that is registered and has found the antler, must be the person that will have the antler scored. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Prizes will be awarded for the largest score, which will be 50% of the elk antler shed hunt registration fee that is taken in. We will also donate 5% of the registration fees to the Keystone Elk Country Alliance. QIDC will also get 5% to help pay for promoting the event and the expenses that incurred to organize this event. The remaining 40% of the registration fees will be divided equally with registered participants that found sheds and checked them in on May 23, 2026.

PLEASE ASK FOR PERMISSION TO HUNT ON PRIVATE PROPERTY.

DECISIONS MADE BY THE ELK ANTLER (SHED) HUNT COMMITTEE OF THE QUEHANNA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ARE FINAL.

PRINTED TICKETS ARE NOT NEEDED TO ATTEND THE SCORING EVENT.
