Join CraftNOW for its free annual symposium—part of Philadelphia’s CraftMONTH—at Moore College of Art & Design, with virtual access for global audiences. Centered on the 2025 theme Intention, the program explores how artists’ choices reflect personal values and purpose through talks by leading makers, educators, and scholars. Highlights include a preview of Handwork: Celebrating American Craft 2026 from PBS’s Craft in America, featuring Roberto Lugo and Bisa Butler in conversation with Elisabeth Agro and Dr. Matthew Kenyatta. The day concludes with a keynote by renowned glass artist Judith Schaechter, alongside presentations from emerging voices Duwenavue Santé Johnson, Topher Gent, Kerianne Quick, and Angelique Scott.
The CraftNOW Intention Symposium is sponsored by Clara and Ben Hollander, the Craft Emergency Relief Fund, Rago.Wright Auctions and many other dedicated members of the community.
