Hopewell Township Community Park

This 78-acre scenic wooded area is nestled between Kane and Brodhead Roads and offers 2.5 miles of trails and a 2-acre stocked, spring-fed lake with accessible fishing pier. Tramp Mill Run meanders through the center of the park and teems with natural wildlife. The Larry Blaney Nature Center anchors the park which has four picnic pavilions, playground, sand volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, paddleboats and covered bridge. Annual events include Chillin’ in the Park, Spring Fest Easter Egg Hunt, Fishing Derby, Park Fest, Labor Day Car Cruise, BBQ Cook-Off & Blues Fest, Fall Fest and Visit with Santa. Concerts in the Park, Camp Lakewood and Rec-On-The-Run programs fill the summer months. All pavilions and the Nature Center are available for rental by visiting the Municipal Building.
