The Summit Loop Trail is located 0.65 miles from the courthouse in Laporte, heading towards Eagles Mere on SR 42. Look for the driveway entrance on the left and a white sign. A Walk in Penn’s Woods is a statewide coordinated event organized by the Pennsylvania Forestry Association and held annually on the first Sunday in October. The event encourages people across Pennsylvania to learn how their local woods work, see forests in new ways, and appreciate and love the forests so that we can all care well for them.
