A Book Restoration Workshop from the comfort of your own home with materials shipped right to you!

Historic Sugartown has adapted their popular Book Restoration Workshop to a fantastic virtual experience. This 4-hour workshop on Google Meet introduces participants to the basic materials and steps employed in most book repair work. Participants will be virtually taught basic book repair techniques, and in the process learn about the book’s components and traditional hand bookbinding methods. Participants will deconstruct the book by removing the textblock from the front coverboard and spine; scrape off glue and any lining from the exposed spine; remove several signatures; perform paper repair; resew the book; and reattach the front coverboard and spine.

Cost per Person: $100/pp. Cost includes materials & shipping. A book along with additional materials (pictured) will be sent via mail to your home prior to the workshop.
