USAHEC Exhibit Opening - MYRIAD: A Day In The Life Of The Modern Soldier
The U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center opens a new photographic exhibit, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2nd. The United States Army Heritage and Education Center’s newest exhibit, MYRIAD: A Day in the Life of the Modern Soldier will open on March 2, 2024. This exciting photography exhibition will celebrate and explore the diversity of today’s Army, serve as a showcase to the many jobs and Military Occupational Specialties available to today’s force, and highlight the numerous global destinations where the Army serves today. By utilizing the Army’s rich tradition of visual storytelling and presenting striking images created by today’s U.S. Army photographers, visitors will get an in-depth look into the world of the U.S. Army and gain a better understanding of its global reach, missions, and the Soldier experience. As visitors navigate the gallery space which emphasizes imagery over textual information, they will be able to connect with Soldiers face to face and meet their Army. During the Myriad Opening guests will have the opportunity to hear about the diverse mission of Army Photographers firsthand from former Army Artist and current director of the Combat Camara Program, Sergent Major (SMG) Amy Brown. The SGM along with members of her team will share the important roll photographers serve in documenting today’s Army, and display some of the equipment which they utilize. Myr·i·ad (/ˈmirēəd/) – Numerous and Diverse. As with all USAHEC events, there is no charge for this special program, and there is ample parking at USAHEC.
