The Historical Society of Pennsylvania presents: Brotherly Love & Sisterly Affection Exhibit Opening

The Historical Society of Pennsylvania, in partnership with the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, is excited to open the archive exhibit, ‘Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection: Tracing Families in Social Records’. The exhibit, organized by genealogists Katy Bodenhorn Barnes and Valerie-Anne Lutz, delivers the stories of families who received assistance from local charities and social services. Dive through the archives and records left in the Historical Society of Pennsylvania in this free public event to answer important social questions about 19th-century Pennsylvania households.

Attendees are also invited to stay afterward for the live stream of the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania’s Third Thursday webinar, “Scots Irish of Early Pennsylvania,” with Judith Ridner at 7 p.m.
