In 2015 Matt and Melissa Dunphy bought a magic theater in Old City Philadelphia, and while adding a third story to it, discovered the building dates back to the 1760s, and sits atop two 18th century privy pits loaded with thousands of artifacts. This sent them on the path of becoming citizen archaeologists and hyperlocal historians.
