Star Trek: Designing The Final Frontier With Daniel Chavkin & Brian McGuire
Designing the Final Frontier is a unique, expert look at the mid-century modern design that created and inspired that aesthetic. From Burke chairs to amorphous sculptures, from bright colors to futuristic frames, Star Trek TOS is bursting with mid-century modern furniture, art, and design elements—many of them bought directly from famous design showrooms. AHMEC is excited to present a unique collection of screen-used and production-made artifacts that span decades, including costumes, weapons, communicators, even pieces of the starship Enterprise! A delight for hard-core Trekkies and casual fans alike, this once-in-a-lifetime exhibit is a chance to peer behind the curtain and see some of the most iconic props from the Star Trek universe. All events will be conducted via Zoom. You can participate onsite at the museum or by using your computer off-site. Cost per event is $25.00 for non-members and FREE for members.
