The Antietam Campaign is one of the most famous campaigns in not only American but world military history. Already considered the ultimate authority on Strategic Leadership in the 1862 Maryland Campaign, Mr. D. Scott Hartwig is local (he resides in Gettysburg) and is extremely well known in the Civil War community. He was the National Park Service Historian for decades at Gettysburg National Military Park. His lectures and tours are popular with scholars, historians, and Civil War buffs.
