'Emergence' Spring Art Show

Presented by the Cranberry Artists Network, members will display art work with opening on Fri., March 8th from 6-8 p.m. Refreshments will be served and artists will be present to welcome the public and receive awards. C.A.N. is excited that Hiromi Katayama will be the juror for the show. Hiromi is a native of Ibarki, Japan, and is a professional artist currently working from her private studio in Houston, PA. She has taken an appointment as a visiting Assistant Professor at Ohio University’s Eastern Campus for the 2023-24 academic year. Hiromi began studying art at the age of nine while studying with her mentor, Renjoin Sensei.  Hiromi received her BFA in Japanese Traditional painting from Joshibi University of art and design, Tokyo, Japan.  She graduated from Edinboro University of PA in May of 2012 with an MFA.  She believes in the cultural foundations found in nature. Her work is in Museums, corporations and private collections. Gallery hours are Fri. 11-5, Sat. 10-5, and Sun. 12-4. Most works will be for sale.
