Originally designed and constructed by Ira Mansfield, a state legislator and entrepreneur, as a two-story brick schoolhouse in 1883 , it closed in 1957. This museum houses two floors of both local and Beaver County historical artifacts, including primitive tools, a piano on which John Phillip Sousa composed many marches, a church room, a school room, several Victorian era rooms, toys and doll houses, Prison and Trench art, and many more items in this extensive collection. Hours are Sunday 1:30-4:30 P.M., June-September. Tours by appointment throughout the year. Free admission.
