After the Flowers Pass: Works by Amir Khadar

Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens presents its exhibition “After the Flowers Pass: Works by Amir Khadar” in its indoor galleries. Amir Khadar is a multi-disciplinary artist from Minneapolis, Minnesota, who bridges the gap between fantasy and reality in otherworldly creations. In “After the Flowers Pass,” Khadar uses textiles and mixed media to construct a post-apocalyptic world that reimages hierarchies in today’s society. Khadar liberates their figures and creates a visual language that centers on race, gender, and climate justice. The opening reception on July 19th offers Pay-What-You-Wish entry, while the remainder of the will have a general admission fee.
